22 April Grounded

Dear All,

This week went by too slow. It all starts last monday, when I last wrote. Well, I started feeling my throat get sore Sunday (easter) Night. But, I didn't want to even think I was getting sick. I had too busy of a week. But, I hit rock bottom Monday night. The Zone Leaders came over and gave me a blessing, called the mission doctor and decided that I had strep, or something like it. So they ran and got me Popsicles, and antibiotics. And then Grounded me.

Well they checked up on me everyday and wouldn't let me out of the Apartment. Well, almost.

On tueday we had a set lesson with Jeremy. I was fretting all day trying to prepare something to save his date. But I didn't need to. He and Jenn got back together and he wanted to keep his date. So I scrapped my old lesson and went on to the commandments. It was the best lesson ever and a miracle. He is set to be baptized this Saturday.

Then on Wednesday we had a district meeting. I was not feeling great, but I had prepared a training on the Atonement that I felt needed to be given. So, I went gave the training and went back to the Apartment and slept. But the Zone Leaders came over again and grounded me... Again.

Well, Thursday rolls around. The Zone Leaders told me that I only had 4 hours to go out and if I went out more I would be breaking the rules. But, I had to finish teaching Sam for his baptism on Sunday. So we went over and finished all the lessons and made sure all was well for the baptism. But we went to all our set appointments and had a really successful day.

Friday, Sam's interview was a success. He was all set for baptism. His family was all set too. And Peter, his non-member step-dad started asking when we could start teaching him. It was such a good day. Even though I was still a little sick.

Well Saturday I had to sing at a "Songs of the Savior" fireside. By some miracle I was able to sing, and was able to make it out the entire day. We also had a really good lesson with Rob and Isaac, the husband and son of a member. It is sweet. We committed Rob to baptism and he said that as soon as he feels the Book of Mormon is the word of God he'll be baptized. So I'm making plans for the end of the Transfer. Rob has been taught by 3 sets of missionaries and for some reason he just listens to me and keeps his commitments. I love Rob. He is very dear to me.

Sunday. The baptism went through and actually went well. It was my first time getting wet. ;) It was a great experience.

Monday. We recorded "Songs of the Savior" to send to far away areas of the mission to promote the work. It was a good recording and I hope I get a copy.

Well I'll let you know about Jeremy's baptism and all that is going on this next week. I'm all better now! I'm doing great!
